Bored

I notice there are still just as many people on Grindr as usual.  I hope they're online for curiosity or just chatting.  Hooking up is probably the worst violation of social distancing.  However, I suppose if there was ever a time for guys to be "bored" this is it.

This writer on the NYT described what he's seeing in the LA area where they even have the shelter in place order.

I suppose this is one time we should be thankful for the abundance of porn.  We may have shortages of toilet paper, cleaning spray and medical supplies, but we do have an abundance of porn.  Easy way for guys to get off safely.

Obviously the best situation to be in is having a partner.

I hate to admit this, but I'm finding myself really enjoying porn.  When the real thing is ruled out, this is a good alternative.  I still believe porn is not is good thing.  I've seen the TED talks on what it can do to your brain. I've watched the no fap'ers telling their stories on YouTube of sitting in front of a computer screen wanking for 14 hours a day.  But of it's just 20-30 minutes, and then you're relieved, is it so bad?

It will probably be months before this virus threat is over.  It feels like a sci-fi movie.  I can just hope that people follow the rules and we see light at the end of the tunnel soon.
