I'm wondering when will we reach the straw that broke the camel's back in the US?
Subsidies for Obamacare were not renewed. Some 24 million people who get their health coverage through Obamacare will be impacted. Estimates are half will not be able to afford coverage. Many healthy people will choose to go without, leaving a more unhealthy pool keeping coverage. With higher loss ratios, rates will go up. A double whammy.
Probably the subsidies were too generous, but to completely drop them? Off a cliff?
I understand the Big Beautiful Bill will reduce the tax bill of those making $5 million by $480,000. Trump and family and friends will now make billions off crypto ventures.
When will the average American realize they are being screwed?
I am a reader from Brazil, the US tresuary will support Argentina with $20 billion dolars and US spend so much in wars and the politicians is US says there is no money for health?
ReplyDeleteThat's right! Tens of millions will lose their health insurance (I didn't even mention Medicaid) and small hospitals will close. We don't know the full impact.
DeleteMy hope is that the balance of power in Congress will shift with the mid-terms if the felon hasn't assumed total control.
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking that people will wake up and start pushing back against the felon, but it never really seems to happen. He is destroying our country day by day. And I blame all of those sycophants that are his "yes" men and women.
