There's something calming about the ocean. Hearing the waves crash onto the shore and then draw back out into the sea.
I'm not going to the beach to lay in the sun. As a person with a northern European background (read "white"), I'd quickly burn to a crisp beyond 20 minutes. So maybe I would venture out into the ocean waters during the day covered with SPF 70 for 20 minutes. I'd spend more time early morning or after 4pm.
Hearing the ocean in the evening and falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves would be relaxing.
The ocean is appealing to me right now, but I need some other options for relaxation.

I grew up by the beach and I can totally relate to your post. Listening to the sounds of the sea is very therapeutic to me. Have you tried meditation?
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried meditation but I've considered it. I should do it. It might have some real benefits for me.
DeleteYou might wanna check out the Netflix show called Headspace… guide to meditation or something. Good way to explore for a start.
