The King

A few years ago I was walking around Bangkok with my Thai friend.  There are pictures of the king everywhere (even though he doesn't live in Thailand).  He told me it is a crime to criticize the king.  Even if you criticize the king in a private phone conversation, the government will find out and you will be arrested.  Foreigners who say something bad about the king will be exited from the country.

I remember thinking about how scary this is.

Guess which country is fast headed in that same direction?

    It is scary to think what is happening in the USA right now. I never thought things would come to this, but alas, here we are.

    My country is the exact same thing. Any criticism toward the King will be arrested and prosecuted.
