This is embarrassing. I have to admit that one thing I've never mastered is how to use chopsticks. Particularly for things like rice. Maybe I didn't work hard enough at it. Billions of people use chopsticks so it can't be that difficult. I often pass by a sushi restaurant on my evening walk. The tables full of non-Asian people nonchalantly eating with chopsticks.....it makes me feel bad.
Now I'm headed to Asia in five weeks and I need to figure this out. It will be embarrassing to keep asking for a fork in China.

Know that your not the Lone Ranger here. Meaning your not the only person who doesn't know how to use Chopsticks. I can use them a little bit but I must admit that a fork is much quicker. Hang in there I am sure if you put your mind to it that you will be using Chopsticks in no time at all.
ReplyDeleteI never mastered chopsticks either.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that your trip to China is proceeding as planned.
ReplyDeleteYou can purchase simple to use training chopsticks at Japanese goods stores like Daiso and Tokyo Central at their stores and on their websites in the US.
ReplyDeleteThey’re made of plastic, joined together and have tabs on them for proper finger placement.
